Young Eagles

Young Eagles is an EAA-developed and locally sponsored program that gives a free first-flight experience to kids 8 through 17 and encourages them to further investigate flying.

EAA 402 is now using the online registration website sponsored by EAA.  Children ages 8 through 17 can be registered for our Young Eagles Rallies simply by going to http://youngeaglesday.org or http://yeday.org.  On the home page of that website you will see up to six Young Eagles events displayed.  If the date is within 3 months of a scheduled EAA Chapter 402 event you will see registration offered for our event. Click the “Register for Event” button and follow the instructions to fill out the registration form found there.

If you do not pre-register you can still participate depending on the availability of time slots. A parent or legal guardian must accompany the child to the airport and must sign the registration forms and waivers.  Flights are between the hours of 8:30 am and 11:30 am.

Chapter 402’s Young Eagles Rallies are conducted on a Saturday in June and a Saturday in September. Get in touch with our Young Eagles coordinator Tom McFadden 740-323-6994 or email tmc58760@roadrunner.com for details.

Next Young Eagles Event: September 19, 2020.
