Young Eagles is an EAA-developed and locally-sponsored program that gives a free first-flight experience to kids 8 through 17, and encourages them to further investigate flying.
To participate, bring a responsible adult with you to the airport, between the hours of 9 am and 12 noon. The adult must be able to sign a release for you. 402 folks will get you signed up, and will escort you to the airplane/gyro when your turn comes. You will take a short plane ride with several other young eagles and a 402 member pilot who will show you how an airplane works. The flight will also give you an aerial look at several Licking County landmarks.
Chapter 402’s Young Eagles program is conducted on a Saturday in June and in September. Get in touch with our Young Eagles coordinator Bernie Volpe at 614-260-0509 or email for details.
Next Young Eagles Event: September 16, 2017.
